Yasuhiko Genku Kimura

In his roles as philosopher, writer, and lecturer, Yasuhiko Genku Kimura has spent almost thirty years studying both advanced scientific reasoning and inner-directed philosophies with his formal education centering on Buddhist philosophy. He is widely recognized for his unique ability to integrate Western thought with the intuitive sensibilities of Eastern spiritual traditions.

Kimura’s published works include The Book of Balance, a modern and visionary translation of Lao Tzu’s Tao Teh Ching, Think Kosmically Act Globally, a collection of essays, and The Twilight Manifesto. He has published numerous essays and translations on spiritual transformation, integral philosophy, transformational ethics, philosophy of science, business strategy, and planetary ethics.

As founder and chairman of the renowned public benefit corporation Vision-In-Action, Kimura strives to encourage a creative and comprehensive approach to social and personal challenges that can restore integrity and wholeness to a divided world. He lives and works as a private business consultant in Southern California.

Yasuhiko Genku Kimura’s new book, Miso Soup for the Soul will be published by Upaya House in 2012.
